Description:

Destiny is a file transfer application that emphasizes security through end-to-end encryption. It facilitates the safe exchange of files without necessitating the disclosure of user identities or requiring account registration.

The process involves the sender selecting a file on their device and generating a unique code, which is then shared with the recipient for secure delivery.

The platform is built upon the Magic Wormhole protocol, known for its focus on secure and private communications.

Key security features include:

<li>End-to-end encryption: Files are encrypted in transit, ensuring that only the sender and recipient can access their contents.</li>
<li>Identity-free transfer: Users are not mandated to provide personal information such as name, email, or phone number to facilitate file sharing.</li>
<li>Peer-to-peer transfer: Whenever possible, Destiny establishes direct network connections between parties. If direct connectivity cannot be achieved—such as in cases where neither user has a public IP address—a relay server is employed. Importantly, the relay server handles only encrypted packets, preserving privacy.</li>
<li>Robust cryptographic keys: Despite their brevity and user-friendly memorability, the sharing codes incorporate a Password Authenticated Key Exchange (PAKE) mechanism. This ensures only a single authentication attempt is possible and results in a 256-bit symmetric key for secure encryption.</li>
</ul>
